How to refuel LNG with Roadgas

Follow these steps each time you refuel to help keep the process safe, simple and efficient.

Get ready safely

Get ready safely

Put on the correct PPE before you begin, including gloves, eye protection and any site-required safety clothing.

Green means go

Green means go

Check the status light before use. Green means you are good to go. Red means stop and report before continuing.

Earth lead connected

Earth lead connected

Attach the earth lead, then clean the receptacle and nozzle. Before connecting, make sure the vehicle receptacle and nozzle are clean and ready to use.

Nozzle secured

Nozzle secured

Connect the liquid fill nozzle securely before moving on to the next step.

Tank pressure checked

Tank pressure checked

Vent the vehicle tank down to 10 bar, then close it. Use the vent valve to bring the tank pressure down before fuelling.

Fob authorised

Fob authorised

Use your Roadgas fob at the pump, then enter the vehicle kilometres when prompted.

Fuelling underway

Fuelling underway

Press and hold the black button while fuelling. Keep the button held down throughout the fuelling process.

Vent closed and nozzle stowed

Vent closed and nozzle stowed

Once fuelling is complete, close the vent valve before disconnecting. Disconnect and clean the nozzle, then stow it safely.

Once the nozzle has been stowed, remove the earth lead from the vehicle.

Final safety check

Final safety check

Refit the protective cap. Make sure everything is safely returned and secured before leaving the station.
